You, as a parent, are the most crucial stepping stone to a child's faith. Let God be the anchor of your family. Our programs are there to encourage and support you as a leader in your child’s faith journey. We will help you participate in sacrament preparation, share God’s unconditional love, and prayer, while experiencing opportunities for Mass, adoration, and confession.
Lumen Christi is our diocesan missionary formation program that takes place during the summer months. Our missionaries are formed to be effective evangelists, sharing the love of Christ that they have experienced in their own lives. They strive to partner with parishes in their effort to form Lifelong Catholic Missionary Disciples Through God’s Love. They do this through outreach, events, small group discipleship, and participation in the community and life of the Church.
Our diocese and churches offer summer youth camp opportunities, such as, confirmation camps, SEARCH, D-Camp, pilgrimages, and other retreats. We encourage our youth to come together for faith and fun. The kids will learn more about their faith and how to grow in it alongside their peers.
Youth That Serves
We want to foster our children's knowledge of the Catholic faith, but we also recognize their want to help and serve their communities. Our parishes have done many service projects, such as, car washes, packing snacks for the backpack programs, refreshing church class rooms with new paint, restocking the food pantry shelves to name just a few. We have active youth in our altar serving, lectors, and willing church greeters. We would love to hear more about other service projects that our youth can help with.
