St. Margaret's Parish
St. Margaret's Parish was first organized in 1888 as a mission of St. Peter's Parish in White Lake when the priest stationed there would come to say Mass. St. Margaret's first resident priest was Fr. Gaydousek in 1892.
On May 26, 1916, St. Margaret's Parish burned down.
With the dedication of Fr. O'Gorman, and many willing and generous hands, the community came together to rebuild the parish. The first service in the new church was December 12, 1916.
As Fr. O'Gorman stated, "a monument in brick and wood and stone of your faith in, and worship of, Him, for Whom you built it."
